Travel Rehearsal Program

The Travel Rehearsal Program offers individual support to passengers with disabilities or diverse needs who can book a time to come to YVR in advance of a booked travel to preview their upcoming journey through the airport.

The airport rehearsal is designed to help reduce barriers to air travel and to provide a chance for individuals to practice and prepare for their upcoming trip, making the airport a less stressful and more familiar environment.   Our goal is to ensure travel is inclusive, accessible and enjoyable for all passengers moving through YVR, and that passengers are guided through the steps in advance to help reduce travel anxiety and the likelihood of encountering challenges on their day of travel. The travel rehearsal will introduce individuals to YVR’s services and programs that are available to all guests.

We limit the number of groups to those with confirmed bookings and caregivers or guardians to provide a more personalized and tailored experience for each passenger's needs.

Please be advised:

• To participate in this program, you will need to sign a release form.
• Kindly note you are eligible for one rehearsal only, and it must be scheduled between 2 to 4 weeks in advance of the confirmed trip.
• The party size is limited to 3 max.
• You must have a confirmed travel document (i.e., your airline ticket).
• The time frame allocated for each travel rehearsal is 60 minutes for Domestic travel and 90 minutes for International.
• You and your party will be subject to Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA) screening requirements.
• Access to other areas outside of your designated travel route will not be granted; only travel companions listed are permitted to join the rehearsal.
• We are unable to accommodate any shopping or food/beverage requests.
• Please note access to an aircraft or airline is currently not included in this rehearsal.
• In the event of weather or unplanned significant operational scenarios, we will do our best to reschedule where we can.
