Travel Planning

Flying soon? Here is your travel readiness hub to make your journey through YVR as seamless as possible.

YVR strongly encourages all travelers flying to arrive at the airport early - at least two hours ahead of domestic flights and at least three hours for U.S. and International.

    Before You Arrive

Make sure to confirm reservations with your airline a few days before your trip, including both your flight details and baggage rules. You can also check-in for your flight online before coming to the airport. This option is available for most airlines 24 hours in advance of your flight's scheduled departure time.

    Travel Documents

Is your passport valid? Do you have the right travel documentation for your destination? Be sure that you understand the travel requirements of where you're going and what you'll need upon your return.

    Pack Smart

Be sure to follow all Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA) baggage requirements.

Remember: Liquids, Gels, and Aerosols need to be in containers that are less than 100 milliliters and be packaged into one transparent, closed and resealable plastic bag that is under one litre.

    Curb to Sky

    Skytrain Canada Line

YVR Airport Station is centrally located between our International and Domestic Terminals. As you exit the train, turn left for domestic flights or right for U.S. and International flights.

    Parking

Have a parking plan and pre-book your spot in our Parkade, JetSet YVR Parking, or Long Term Value lots.

This summer, get 10% off at White Spot when you book with JetSet YVR Parking and present your booking confirmation and boarding pass.

    Prep Your Tech

    Sign up for Digital ID

Flying with Air Canada domestically this summer? Speed through security and boarding with Digital ID. It’s fast, convenient and helps you move through security screening and boarding with ease. Get started.

    Mobile Passport Control (U.S. Departures)

Mobile Passport Control (MPC) is a new app from US CBP that allows travelers to submit information digitally prior to moving through the border process, helping speed up the departures experience from YVR for those traveling to the U.S.

    Prep Your Tech on Arrival

    ArriveCAN

For those arriving from an international destination, you can use the ArriveCAN app to submit an advance declaration to save time as you clear Customs & Immigration.

    Ground Transportation

    Skytrain Canada Line

YVR Airport Station is centrally located between our International and Domestic Terminals. As you exit the train, turn left for domestic flights or right for US and International flights.

    Car Rentals

Car rental facilities are conveniently located just steps from the YVR terminal on the ground floor of the parkade.

Connection procedures can vary depending on your airline, where you are arriving from, and where you are headed. Please check with your airline to learn more about your steps through YVR.
