Leadership and Governance

Since 1992, Vancouver Airport Authority has maintained stewardship of Vancouver International Airport (YVR) under an extended lease from the Federal Government as a private, non-share capital corporation.

We are governed by a community-based Board of Directors drawn from a variety of nominating entities ensuring leading governance in support of the long-term success and sustainability of the airport and our purpose.

Our Executive Team, under the leadership of our President and CEO, oversees over 1,000 airport authority employees working as part of a broader One YVR team alongside more than 28,000 workers across Sea Island ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operations to help connect Canada and the world for the benefit of our community and the economy that supports it.
