Engagement

It's important for us to hear from you.

Connecting with our community is a core part of who we are and public participation is fundamental to our ability to engage and interact, collect feedback and communicate openly. Regular engagement is integral to our continued success as a connecting hub and economic contributor--one that supports thousands of jobs, connects local companies with customers around the world and welcomes millions of visitors to our province each year. Engaging with our community is important to us. As BC's airport, it is our responsibility to ensure you have the opportunity to tell us how we can better serve you. We know that sometimes our operations affect you. Having conversations with you help us do our jobs better and help you better understand why we do the things we do.

We invite you to review YVR's Engagement Charter. It outlines our commitment to providing meaningful opportunities for our passengers, partners, communities and Indigenous groups.

YVR is located on federal lands, therefore we are regulated by the Government of Canada's Impact Assessment Act (IAA) and is administered by the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada.

Public participation in federal impact assessment ensures an open, balanced process and strengthens the quality and credibility of a project's review. Community and Indigenous knowledge about a project's physical location can help to identify and address potential impacts of a designated project at the early stage of an impact assessment. The IAA recognizes this and requires that the public have meaningful opportunities to participate throughout the assessment process.
