Transport Canada suspends direct commercial/private passenger flights from Morocco; adds interim measures for travellers connecting via indirect route until September 29, 2021

Transport Canada has suspended all direct commercial and private passenger flights from Morocco. The suspension will be in effect from August 29, 2021, at 00:01 EDT until September 29, 2021, 00:00 EDT. Travellers are advised to contact their airline for any information related to scheduled travel connecting Morocco to Canada through direct and indirect flights.

Transport Canada is also amending the Interim Order Respecting Certain Requirements for Civil Aviation Due to COVID-19. This means that passengers who depart Morocco to Canada, via an indirect route, will be required to obtain a valid COVID-19 pre-departure test from a third country – other than Morocco – before continuing their journey to Canada. The third-country testing requirement will also come into effect on August 29, 2021, at 00:01 EDT.

Questions about the notice itself and any provisions should be directed to Transport Canada. For more information, please visit: Transport Canada suspending all direct commercial and private passenger flights from Morocco until September 29, 2021 - Canada.ca
