YVR thanks valuable Green Coat Volunteers during National Volunteer Week

April 24 to 30 is National Volunteer Week. At YVR, we have one of the most recognizable and reputable volunteer programs in British Columbia.

The entire YVR community would like to take this occasion to express our sincere appreciation for our Green Coat Volunteers.

Our friendly volunteers are located throughout the airport to provide a welcoming face, answer any questions and get you moving in the right direction.

YVR Green Coat Volunteers

This fantastic group of customer service ambassadors have been a staple of the passenger experience at YVR since 1989.

The program was put on pause for a year due to the pandemic. The Green Coats rolled up their sleeves and came back in March 2021.They have since helped passengers navigate YVR through waves of new COVID-19 variants, ever changing health protocols and steadily increasing passenger numbers.

We cannot overstate the importance of the role our volunteers play in the suite of customer care services at YVR.

Please make sure to say hello and give a special thanks to our Green Coats this week (and every week) as they provide essential support to our passengers, community, and employees.
