At YVR, we recognize that the travel experience looks different today and that, for many people, it may be their first time at the airport in a while. As we welcome back more passengers and begin to re-open services, we’re encouraging travellers to be prepared and to be patient. To help you travel with ease, we've rounded up some our our top tips for travelling through YVR.
  • Ensure you understand the travel requirements of where you’re going and what you’ll need upon your return. This could include travel visas or vaccine/testing documentation.
  • Confirm your travel details in advance. Days before your trip, confirm your reservations with your airline, determine baggage specifications and what your airline offers in the way of onboard service.
  • For a more touchless and environmentally-friendly experience, check-in online and download your boarding pass to your phone.
  • When packing, remember that restrictions continue to apply for liquids, gels and aerosols in carry-on baggage. Did you know, at this time, a passenger can carry one bottle of liquid sanitizer containing up to 355 mL in carry-on luggage and does not need to be included in the 1L resealable bag. Learn more about what you can pack in your carry-on here
  • If you are driving to YVR, have a parking plan and pre-book your parking at yvr.ca/parking. The Canada Line can also deliver you to the terminal doors in 30 minutes or less from Downtown Vancouver.
  • Masks continue to be mandatory within the airport and onboard your flight. Don’t forget to bring yours with you.
  • If you’re arriving at YVR from an international destination, pre-book your arrivals COVID test here and ensure you download the ArriveCAN app. Here you will submit your COVID-19 information which includes testing, vaccination details and photo proof of vaccination.
  • And finally, if you’re in the terminal and need assistance, find our customer care team behind one of the information counters or call us any time at 604.207.7077.
