YVR Welcomes Federal Funding for Airport Safety and Climate-Related Infrastructure Projects

We were thrilled to host the Honourable Omar Alghabra, Minister of Transport, at the airport today as he announced new federal funding through the Airport Critical Infrastructure Program (ACIP).

The ACIP funding, which totals $38.4 million, comes at a pivotal time as we prepare to welcome back travellers and help lead the region’s economic recovery.

Funds will support two important projects at YVR, including upgrades to the airport’s Runway End Safety Area and our dyke and drainage system.

More information about the Airport Critical Infrastructure Program and funding announcement is available in Transport Canada’s news release.
