The 2019 Surrey Fusion Festival is right around the corner! Awarded as the world’s “Best Festival” at the Special Events Magazine Gala Awards, the festival celebrates the diversity of food, music, and culture in British Columbia. With 7 themed stages located throughout Holland Park and more than 50 food pavilions, your food and entertainment choices are endless. Today, we’re bringing you Top 5 Must-Do’s so you can get the ultimate experience at the festival!
Food Pavilions
Arrive by noon so you’re right on time for lunch! If you’re looking to try Caribbean food, head on over to the Barbados pavilion - they offer Bajan fried rice, fish cakes, fried plantains, and more. For an authentic feel of Russia’s multi-ethnic cuisine, make your way to the Russia pavilion to try dishes such as perogies, poppy seed cakes, bortz, and pirojki! Finally, get a taste of Formosa at the Taiwan pavilion which offers wheel cakes, deep fried tofu, and pudding milk tea.
Indigenous Village
Check out the Indigenous Artist Trade Show at the Metis pavilion for beautiful art displays and embroidery - all available for purchase. Bannock Queen will be serving a wide variety of tacos including salmon, baked egg frittata, veggie and chili tacos...how delicious!
