Spring Break at YVR: Have a Transportation Plan

Spring break is almost here and YVR is expecting a daily average of over 75,000 passengers during the upcoming spring break period. Due to this volume, we are expecting some of our parking lots to reach full capacity. To help make sure your travel plans are stress-free, we encourage everyone to have a transportation plan before heading to the airport.

If you need to park at the airport, we strongly recommend booking ahead at yvr.ca/parking to reserve a spot. We highly recommend that anyone conveniently located near public transit leave their cars at home and take the Canada Line.

Here’s a few extra tips for all you spring break travellers:

  • Leave extra time, as our lots are experiencing peak volumes. There are extra staff to assist.
  • Review details of your parking reservation before setting out for the airport and know where to go.
  • Don't forget - jetSet YVR Parking is now a valet service. It is still in its previous location on North Service Road. If you choose to park at jetSet YVR, you are now required to leave your vehicle keys behind.
  • If parking at the Value Long Term lot, make sure to review the free Canada Line train schedule—departing every seven to 20 minutes between 5:10 am and 1:27 am. If you are arriving during non-scheduled train service, there will be a free shuttle bus that runs outside Templeton Station every 30 minutes or less.

Don’t start off your trip on the wrong foot, make sure you follow these tips to keep your spring break stress-free!
