YVR’s mission is to connect B.C. proudly to the world. In order to do so, we work very closely with local tourism partners to help promote our city and province. This is why we are excited to strengthen our partnership with Rocky Mountaineer by signing a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to do just that.
The MOU allows YVR and Rocky Mountaineer to formally share knowledge, expertise and market intelligence to help bring more tourism to B.C. This partnership will help bring more tourists to B.C. to experience the province that we’ve all come to know and love including hiking the Chief, winery tours in the Okanagan or starting a journey through B.C. and into the Rocky Mountains on the Rocky Mountaineer.
“We are pleased to have this agreement in place with Rocky Mountaineer,” said Craig Richmond, President & CEO, Vancouver Airport Authority. “Working closely with tourism partners like Rocky Mountaineer allows us to promote our region around the world. Through this partnership, we will enhance the B.C. brand, providing further social and economic benefits to our community.”
“We look forward to working with Vancouver Airport Authority to connect visitors from around the world with British Columbia,” said Steve Sammut, President and CEO, Rocky Mountaineer. “The success of B.C.’s tourism industry relies on partnerships like this to promote our region; attract travellers to the area; and fulfill their dreams through unique tourism experiences, which start and end with the airport.”
The MOU encourages both organizations to work together in marketing programs around the world to support destination growth and the growth of our key airline partners.
