DAY 1: Arrive Auckland
Arrival and transfer to hotel. 4 night stay at the Auckland Harbour Oaks in a deluxe queen room.
DAY 2: Auckland
Auckland city tour by bike or coach you choose! Urban Adventures Electric Bike around Auckland will take you around Auckland on two wheels… and with a little bit of an electric nudge! You’ll ride electric-assisted bikes along the streets and cycle lanes of Auckland, see city sites, learn about Maori culture, and listen to stories from a local guide who can show you just how awesome Auckland really is! Or if you prefer to take in Auckland City Sights by Coach you will get to visit Auckland Domain, Historical Parnell, Auckland Harbour Bridge, Viaduct Harbour, Tamaki Drive.
DAY 3: Auckland - Waiheke Island (L)
Today, take the short walk from your hotel to the ferry terminal and make your way to Waiheke Island for the Tastes of the Island tour. This guided tour stops at 3 vineyards (Stonyridge, Caista Miro, Mudbrick) and includes all tastings, light lunch plus olive oil tasting at Rangihoua Estate. Take the return ferry back to Auckland.
DAY 4: Auckland
Free day to explore.
DAY 5: Auckland - Rotorua (D)
Bus transfer from Auckland to Rotorua or if you prefer to drive, we can arrange a car rental for $50 additional per person. Stay 3 nights at the Ibis Rotorua in a double standard room (short walk to the iconic Visitor centre which is the bus drop off point and pick up for any guided excursions). This evening, enjoy the Tamaki Maori dinner show with return transfers. Journey to an authentic Maori village nestled in a Rotorua forest and be formally welcomed onto sacred grounds. Amidst crackling village fires, discover Maori art forms, take part in ancient rituals and learn fascinating Maori traditions. Enjoy traditional songs and dances before a feast, cooked beneath the ground on hot stones.

DAY 6: Rotorua
Redwoods Treewalk – This is a one of a kind eco-tourism walk that provides a unique experience for visitors to Rotorua. It offers an accessible, low-level adrenaline experience for all ages that captures the beauty and spirit of this famous forest (no transfers included, but not a far distance from downtown. Public transport or a short cab ride would work best).
DAY 7: Rotorua
Today, tour Hells Gate Geothermal Park. Hells Gate geothermal attraction features boiling hot pools and erupting waters with temperatures in excess of 100 degrees Celsius, steaming fumaroles, hot water lakes, sulphur crystals and deposits. It is home to New Zealand’s largest active mud volcano and the Southern Hemisphere’s largest hot waterfall. See, feel and understand the awe of Irish Playwright, George Bernard Shaw as he gazed upon the land and gave it the English name “Hells Gate” as he believed he had arrived at the gates to Hell.
DAY 8: Rotorua – Auckland
Transfer back to Auckland for your flight home or add on 2 nights in Queenstown or Christchurch (details below).

Day 8: Fly Auckland to Queenstown

Take a scenic cruise on board the vintage steamship TSS Earnslaw (drinks and food available for purchase on board).
Day 10: Fly from Queenstown to Vancouver

Day 8: Fly Auckland to Christchurch
