Aircraft of the Month: Airbus A319

We are all about the Airbus in March as we are set to welcome the next-generation A350 to the runways of YVR on March 28. We already featured the A350 a few months ago when the news about Cathay Pacific bringing this awesome new aircraft to Vancouver was first announced, so this month we are going with the Airbus A319. The A319 will be flying the newly announced YVR to Boston route launching in summer and is a frequent flyer in and out of Vancouver.

As a shortened-fuselage version of Airbus’ A320 cornerstone single-aisle jetliner, the A319 continues to prove its versatility by providing a range of seating options, from 124-seat configuration to a capacity of up to 156, with all options offering the highest level of passenger comfort. The A319 has the same optimised cabin cross-section as the other A320 Family members.  Like all members of the aircraft A320 Family that introduced Airbus’ revolutionary fly-by-wire control system, the A319 benefits from the cockpit commonality, which helps reduce the cost of training, maintenance and aircraft operation.
