New Sustainable Parking System On Final Approach to YVR

A new, green parking system is on the way for YVR.

Reusable chip-embedded plastic tokens will soon replace the thousands of paper tickets printed monthly. The new system will go live on December 7 and is another example of YVR’s commitment to leadership in sustainability.

What does it mean for you? Rather than pull a paper ticket upon entering YVR’s Parkade or Value Lot, you will now press a green button to receive a plastic token, embedded with a chip that tracks your time.

When you’re ready to leave the airport, insert the token at an automatic pay station before returning to your vehicle and pay by cash, debit or credit. Or, take your green token to The Express Exit or Cashier to pay as you’re exiting in your vehicle.

The system is user-friendly and we’re here to help along the way. Press the intercom button on any of the parking machines and we’ll be glad to assist.

Who said it wasn’t easy being green?
