Airport Improvement Fee
Vancouver Airport Authority is a community-based, not-for-profit organization and receives zero funding from the government to operate. We need to continue to expand to meet passenger growth and maintain the airport infrastructure so we can provide social and economic benefit for our community. Which is why we are raising the Airport Improvement Fee (AIF) at YVR from $20 to $25 on January 1, 2020. The AIF for passengers flying within British Columbia or the Yukon will remain $5. To learn more about the history of the AIF, why it is necessary and why it is the best model to support our community, watch the video below and visit some of the links for more information.
