2024 Holiday Hamper Drive

YVR’s 14th annual Holiday Hamper Drive is taking place on Thursday, December 12th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in partnership with Quest Outreach Society. We're inviting all who can to fill up a reusable grocery bag with a full holiday meal for families in our community.

This year, meet us at the Spirit of Haida Gwaii: The Jade Canoe at International Departures Level 3 for a "One Stop, Shop and Drop" at YVR's Quest Pop Up Market. Stop by to shop the shelves, fill a hamper bag, purchase the goods (a.k.a make a donation the Quest Food Exchange!) and help us reach out goal of 1,600 hampers to feed 9,600 British Columbians.

Here's what to expect at the Holiday Hamper Drive & Quest Pop Up Grocery Market:

Stop by the Spirit of Haida Gwaii: The Jade Canoe between to receive a YVR branded shopping bag(s) while entering the “market.”
Shop the market shelves to fill your bag with hamper items.
Drop your hamper bag off after visiting the “check out” to make a donation (cash, credit card accepted).

Unable to make the event in-person or would like to make a donation in advance? Show your support with the link above to have your donation matched by YVR. If you make a donation in advance and plan to stop by at the event on December 12th, simply show us your donation confirmation to complete the check out process.

Donation Impact Level Guidance:

$25: Contributes to supporting half a hamper
$50: Feeds up to 6 people (1 Hamper)
$100: Feeds up to 12 people (2 Hampers)
$500: Feeds up to 60 people (10 Hampers)
$1000: Feeds up to 120 people (20 Hampers)
$5000: Feeds up to 600 people

Since 2011, the YVR community has come together to provide more than 100,000 holiday meals to local families. Quest works to reduce hunger in local communities by providing dignified access to affordable and sustainable food options in not-for-profit grocery markets to those who face food security challenges in British Columbia.
