Climate: Net Zero by 2030

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) expects emissions from aviation to triple over the next two decades. We know that reducing emissions in the air is more difficult than on the ground, positioning airports to plan an outsized and immediate role in reducing GHGs as a contribution to the industry. This is our opportunity.

  1. We will accelerate our ambition to eliminate carbon emissions by 20 years—to be net-zero in 2030 versus 2050.
  2. We will continue to reduce the amount of waste we produce, increase the amount diverted from landfill and reduce water use and consumption.
  3. We will focus additionally on reducing direct emissions from our operations by reducing energy use and displacing remaining fossil fuel use with renewable fuels.

2021 strategic plan
