Commuting To Work At YVR
Getting To Work at YVR
We recognize the contribution that vehicle traffic makes to air pollution in Metro Vancouver. And thanks to options like Canada Line and improved cycling lanes and facilities, we continue to support green commuting. As an employee working at YVR or on Sea Island, there are several transportation options available to you.
Canada Line
With Canada Line now up and running, it’s easier to take public transit to the airport. For details on schedules, fares and potential discounts, visit the Canada Line website for more information
Carpool/Rideshare
The Jack Bell Rideshare offers a matching service to connect commuters to form rideshares and carpools. Jack Bell also provides cars and vans for carpooling groups for a fee.
Carpool.ca connects commuters who are interested in ride sharing to specific destinations, including Vancouver International Airport.
Cycling Facilities
We keep a locked bicycle storage and change room facility on Level 1 of the Domestic Terminal Building for employees working at YVR. For access to this facility contact YVR's Environment Department ahead of time for details.
Translink publishes a cycling map and guide, available where transit tickets are sold and also online

Car Sharing
The Cooperative Auto Network provides joint access to a fleet of vehicles without the costs of owning one yourself. Consider membership in this program if you need only limited use of a vehicle.
