Located five minutes from Vancouver International Airport’s main terminal and 30 minutes from downtown Vancouver, the designer outlet centre will draw from 4.6 million British Columbia residents, the nearly nine million tourists to the region each year and the 17 million passengers who pass through YVR annually.
Traffic & Public Transportation
Feasibility testing conducted by Vancouver Airport Authority showed that the Designer Outlet Centre, which will be located on the northeast corner of Sea Island near the Templeton Canada Line Station, will have minimal impact on traffic flow. The preferred location provides direct access to the Canada Line rapid-transit line that connects YVR to Richmond and Vancouver.
Environmental Responsibility
Vancouver Airport Authority and McArthur Glen Group are committed to building the Designer Outlet Centre with minimal impact to the local environment. Some general infrastructure improvements will be made on and around the site, which may include an extension of the existing foot and cycling paths on Sea Island.
