The copper was collected, stacked and weighed this afternoon at YVR when the entire airport community banded together (with some friendly competition) and collected pennies for Quest Food Exchange.
We've teamed up with Quest Food Exchange to launch Final Boarding Call for Pennies, a penny drive to raise funds to help children gain access to lunches during the summer months.
This week, Airport Authority staff volunteered their time and skills at Quest Food Exchange to distribute 500 Christmas hampers for families in need. Employees at YVR collected and donated food for the hampers for Quest’s clients.

Outreach. Education. Community Involvement. They’re three (OK, four) words that mean a lot to us here at YVR. So, it’s only natural that we were so thrilled to be recognized by a global industry association for our work to make those words more than, well, words.
It wasn’t a stereotypical airport sight: a caravan of more than 50 shopping carts piled high with food donations weaving its way through the terminal. But, on February 22, YVR swapped baggage carts for shopping carts as the Airport Authority launched a two-year partnership with Quest Food Exchange with a $100,000 donation.
