YVR's Bike Friendly Business Award

YVR was recently recognized for our outstanding commitment to commuter cycling at HUB’s very first Bike Friendly Business Awards ceremony and reception. Our very own Anne Murray, cycling enthusiast and Vice President of Community and Environmental Affairs, was there to receive the award on behalf of YVR.

As a community-based organization, YVR has proudly supported and participated in Bike to Work Week since 2009. At last fall's opening of Larry Berg Flight Path Park, we unveiled a brand new commuter station featuring a bike pump and a repair station for cycling enthusiasts to enjoy. Our Green Commuter Program has provided incentives for our employees to cycle, walk, transit, or even rideshare to work. We’ve also added seven additional kilometres to the cycling network on Sea Island, making YVR a great destination for those on two wheels. With 2013 behind us, we’re looking to pedal our way to yet another Bike Friendly Business Award in the coming year.

For more information about cycling and biking around Sea Island, visit the Bicycles & Cycling Routes section of YVR.CA.
