It’s a Small World After All

Mickey and Minnie Mouse were on hand today to make dreams come true…. California dreams, that is.

Today marked the inaugural flight of WestJet’s new, daily, nonstop service from Vancouver to Orange County’s John Wayne Airport. This new route offers Vancouverites the opportunity to fly into Southern California in the morning and catch some waves – be it from a surfboard or Splash Mountain – by the afternoon.

WestJet, YVR and Disney employees donned mouse ears and celebrated with a ribbon cutting, while passengers who travelled on today’s inaugural flight experienced a sneak peek of the “happiest place on Earth” – including their very own pair of mouse ears, an appearance from Mickey and Minnie and some classic Disney songs.

For more information about this new route, check out West Jet Vacations and see what packages and promotions are currently offered.
