This weekend, millions of Canadians from coast to coast to coast will tune in to watch the Calgary Stampeders battle the Toronto Argonauts for the 100th Grey Cup. And while our beloved BC Lions didn’t quite make it this year, the game is still a not-to-miss highlight of Canadian sports culture.
If work or travel brings you to YVR on Sunday the 25th between 3:30 and 7p.m. , you’ll find the big game playing on several equally big screens throughout the airport.
• Grab your meal of choice and catch the game on the giant electronic screen that hangs about the International Terminal’s public food court. Nearby Koho Restaurant is also equipped with a TV.
• After security in the Domestic Terminal, Palomino Bar & Grill near Gate A2 will be airing the game, as will Monk’s Grill in C-Pier.
• Flying internationally? Milestone’s offers a great menu and prime gameday perches along its bar.
• Quarterbacks and cocktails could also make great companions at the cozy Jetside Bar at Fairmont Vancouver Airport, above U.S. check-in. Happy viewing, sports fans.
