Today, Larry Berg, Vancouver Airport Authority CEO, realized “every boy’s dream come true” when he got behind the wheel of YVR’s new Striker 4500, the latest addition to the Vancouver Airport Emergency Services Team. The Striker 4500 8x8 aircraft rescue and firefighting vehicle will add a new level of elite safety to our fleet.

The Striker 4500 carries 50 per cent more water than any other truck in our current fleet. In addition, this truck has a light mast capable of lighting up large sections of the airfield for ground operations at night, FLIR cameras to recognize heat signatures as well as DEVS (Driver’s Enhanced Vision System) to guide drivers in on field navigation during zero visibility.
Take a peek at Larry Berg in the driver’s seat of our new Striker 4500.
