Wetlands approaching #DawsonCity #ExploreYukon #YVRCanada

September's Photo of the Month was submitted via Instagram by user @vz_lin. It shows the picturesque wetlands approaching Dawson City in the mighty Yukon as seen from high up in an airplane. The lush green land stretches as far as the eye can see and is dotted by pockets of water that create a surreal natural pattern that result in this awesome picture.

And Dawson City is more than just a pretty landscape, it was the centre of the Klondike Gold Rush and played an important role in shaping our nation, It served as the capital of the Yukon from 1898 to 1952 and for millennia before that was a vital harvest ground for the Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in.

We recently put up a bunch of new pics on the wall! If you want your pic of Canada from the Air to end up on display at YVR please submit via twitterFacebookor Instagram and use the hashtag #YVRCanada.
