Be sure to make the most of the last few days of summer break with Take-Off Fridays at YVR. The popular nine-week celebration wraps up this Friday with a whole host of activities.
Did you know that more than 3,200 six-pack beverage can rings and 38,412 food wrappers/containers were picked up along BC’s shorelines last year? That’s 800 cans of pop and enough fast-food breakfast, lunch and dinners for one person for 35 years!
It’s been a few days since the Japadog Eating Contest here at YVR, and we’re still reeling from all the excitement of crowning Vancouver’s top dog.
Bellies were full at YVR yesterday! Vancouver Airport Authority’s Airfield Emergency Services (AES) team hosted a pancake breakfast to raise money for the Burn Fund’s annual Burn Camp.
Every Friday throughout the summer we’ve hosted an airport party from 9 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. featuring DJ’s, live performances, face-painters, balloon artists, free samples and more. This upcoming Friday, August 17, will be one of the most exciting Take-off Fridays to date!
