Airport Watch is a volunteer, community-based initiative, modelled after Neighbourhood Watch, that seeks to improve the safety and security of our airport by engaging active community members.
Airport Watch volunteers provide extra eyes and ears around the airport perimeter and observe, record and report suspicious or unusual activities. Our volunteers are active community members, who are dedicated to safety and security and have demonstrated a commitment to contributing to YVR's award-winning safety culture.

About Airport Watch
Airport Watch originated in 1999 at the Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport as a partnership between the Ottawa Police Service, Royal Canadian Mounted Police, the airport authority and a group of aviation enthusiasts who formed the initial group of community volunteers. The program's motto is to "Observe, Record and Report."
