Bike to Work Week Celebration Station

Swing by Larry Berg Flight Path Park to kick off this fall’s Bike to Work Week. There will snacks, a prize draw, and an on-site bike mechanic who can take a quick look at your bike.

YVR Green Talk: Energy Efficiency Rebates and Incentives

If your Sea Island company has your own BC Hydro and/or FortisBC accounts (i.e., you don’t pay your landlord for utilities as part of your lease), join us as experts from BC Hydro and FortisBC share information about energy efficiency rebates and incentives for businesses and help you navigate the application process for Clean BC rebates.

YVR Green Excellence Awards Presentation

Every year, the YVR Green Excellence Award (formerly the Clear Skies Award) is presented to organizations that show outstanding enthusiasm and commitment to improving Sea Island's environmental footprint. Tune in to meet the 2019 recipients.

February – April 2020

Climate Smart Training 

Join our 2020 Climate Smart cohort and learn how to track and reduce your greenhouse gas emissions, while cutting costs and enhancing your brand. Since 2015, fifty-one Sea Island businesses have participated in Climate Smart.

For new businesses, the Vancouver Airport Authority will cover the cost of becoming Climate Smart-certified (up to $3500 value). This includes training up to two employees (who must attend all three training sessions below) as well as one-on-one client support and access to the Climate Smart online calculator tool for one year. Find out more and register here. Returning business are welcome too and may be eligible for a subsidy from the Vancouver Airport Authority by contacting environment@yvr.ca.
