Construction crews in our A and B Piers –home to WestJet and regional airlines’ domestic flights – are busy upgrading the gates, waiting rooms and facilities. It’s actually one of the oldest sections of the original 1968 terminal still left. Once the project wraps in 2015, it’s going to be gorgeous.
But in the meantime, we thought it would be nice to dress up the construction zone a bit. With your help!
Today, we’re launching a living photo gallery called Canada from the Air. The idea is to collect in-flight pics of Canadian vistas snapped from high above, and plaster them on our walls and online here.
It’s easy to have your photo included in this growing gallery. Snap a pic and Tweet it our way @yvrairport using the #YVRCANADA hashtag. If you’re not on Twitter, email your masterpiece to canadafromtheair@yvr.ca. Make sure you tell us where you took the picture.
Winglets are welcome. So are mountain peaks, big (or small) bodies of water, farmland and city lights. Ignite your latent passion for photojournalism. I can’t wait to see what comes our way.
