The Airport Authority is looking for help from YVR passengers to build a living photo gallery that celebrates the beauty of Canada as seen from above.
Launched February 1, the Canada from the Air campaign invites travellers to snap in-flight photos of our country from the air and share them with the Airport Authority.
Currently featuring some 40 images, the photo galleries can be found adorning the temporary walls of the Domestic Terminal’s A and B Piers, currently undergoing renovation to add gates, expand seating areas and improve passenger amenities. The growing gallery also lives online at www.yvr.ca/YVRCANADA.
Whether your passion is wing tips, propellers, snow-capped mountains or sunsets, we want to see your photographic handiwork, and so do the thousands of passengers travelling through these facilities every day. Tweet your best picture our way @yvrairport using the #YVRCANADA hashtag, and it could be included in our terminal and online galleries. Photos are also welcome via email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Be sure to identify where the photo was taken in your message.
Customers travelling through A or B Piers will also notice new directional signs indicating shops and services available during construction, as well as architectural renderings that illustrate what to expect once the project is complete in Summer 2015.
