Aboriginal Leaders Recognized In Vancouver

YVR will get an extra burst of First Nations culture later this month, when Musqueam performers welcome the recipients and guests of the National Aboriginal Achievement Awards, sponsored in part by Vancouver Airport Authority.

Look out for the performers as they welcome arriving passengers across from the newly named Graham Clarke Atrium (formerly known as the Link Atrium), adjacent to the Customer Care counter on February 23 and 24.

The Awards Gala takes place at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre on Friday February 24, 2012 where 15 recipients will be recognized for their outstanding accomplishments in various disciplines ranging from health, law, political science, culture and the arts.

Furthering First Nations programs and initiatives is a focus of the Airport Authority’s Community Investment program. YVR is proud to support the Awards which recognize the achievements of these community leaders and role models.
