For years, one the most tangible perks of having a first class ticket or being a member of a frequent flier club was the access to private airline lounges. However, thanks to Plaza Premium Lounges any passenger is able to experience first-class comfort, regardless of airline or fare class.
Vancouver International Airport has three Plaza Premium Lounges in various locations throughout the airport: one in the Domestic (between pier A & B) and International (Gate D53) terminals, as well as a newly opened lounge in the U.S. departures (Gate E87).
Each lounge is well equipped with many amenities. Hot entrees, snacks, and beverages, including alcoholic beverages past 11 a.m., are available throughout the day. In addition to providing a bite to eat, the lounges offer comfortable, spacious seats; business services; newspapers; and international television stations.
Travellers departing or connecting through the International Terminal also have access to showers and napping facilities.
Plaza Premium operates 50 lounges around the world in 16 different airports. Access to a lounge is available for two ($30) or three ($35) hours; those who frequently travel through YVR and abroad are able to purchase an annual pass.
